Colder Days!

I am not a huge fan of the cold. I tend to keep a dry throat and stuffy nose during the cold days. However, I must say that it's about time I have to wear leggings under my pants! I have been in a serious mood to make winterish foods! Yesterday I got an early Easter gift, yes, I realize we haven't even had Christmas! But I am so excited to play with my new Kitchen Aid mixer! Last night Blake and I made bread for the first time. Well, I say we.. Really I made it and he played with the dough, swinging it around and stretching it! Haha! Either way, our french bread was so delicious and incredibly easy! I mixed up some "spiced up olive oil" from pinterest and we loved every bit of it. Those of you from Brenham, my hubby says it is better than Volare's! Whoo! Tonight I'm making some broccoli cheese soup to go with our bread, I can't wait, I'm drooling!

On another note, we are getting pretty settled in to the new house. A touch of Christmas went up yesterday, I'm not doing much since we won't be here. I still don't have anything on the walls because I'm waiting for them to be painted one of these days! All my furniture still looks weird because I'm not sure of just where I want everything and man, oh, man are those kitchen cabinets giving me heck! I was spoiled with cabinets I designed at the old house. Soon enough I will have my dream kitchen.. soon enough!

I hope you all have a Christ filled Christmas season and remember how blessed we all are! My next post will be after the new year filled with all things Italy from our trip!! Pray for safe travels! We love you all :)

Welcome!

Welcome to our new blog. I felt the need for a new one because we have had so many new changes happening in our lives! We hope to give you a few laughs as we share the crazy things that we get ourselves into! I'll start out with a little background :)
--So that some of you don't get confused, I should start by saying that my spa days have come to an end. Blake and I had a hard time making this decision and with lots of prayers and constant confirmation from the Lord, we have decided that I would go to work full time with him. I am going to miss the spa terribly, but I am excited about my new job. I am still available, upon request, to do weddings (only) there at Thyme Day Spa so let us know! Thank you to all of my amazing customers, you made my job very enjoyable and exciting!--
On to the background: Blake and I have been married a little over a year now. Time flies when you're having fun! We started out in a renovated barn on Happy Hill farm. It was a very fun project to get the barn to what it is today and we loved our first home! Currently we are in the middle of a move to our new home. It is in the middle of this sweet, little town we call home and I couldn't be happier to be closer to civilization.. I didn't quite conform to country life like I had hoped ;) Luckily my husband loves to be in town too! For work, we have a scrap yard. Glamorous, I know! We recycle ALL things metal. We truly love our work.. yes, I love my job as a scrapper! We are getting ready to move into a bigger yard for the business! (As you can see, we love to cram as many stressful things in at one time as we can!) Still no little Brannon bambinos.. Maybe after our Italy trip in December, after our Vegas trip for spring break, and maybe after my sweet friend Caitlin's wedding in March!
*WARNING--There is no telling what all you will find me writing about. I love all things food, babies, home things, family, traveling, hair stuff, scripture, and mostly rambling!*

Our new home!
Excited!
